Data-driven installation: projector, software (Flash)

Quadriennale, Düsseldorf

As a monumental projection based on the principle of silent film, "Why Don’t We" is a computer-generated, automatic, self-composition that is redesigned and projected every second, controlled by real-time information from the social network Twitter and stock market data. This data-driven film format reflects the fact that global relationships, developments, and complexities as global connections and intersections between these parallel phenomena are no longer tangible, and thus the news for many have reached the status of fantastic fiction.
